Many objectors to the imposition of “gender identity ideology” onto institutions and individuals are LGBT, feminist, and/or liberal. They are concerned that what we’re teaching about gender identity, and how we are conceiving of and treating trans kids, is not only unscientific, but in many cases harmful.
The laws being passed in blue states, and the guidelines in schools, deserve intense scrutiny. One need not be anti-trans in the least to demand that we create a culture where we can ask questions and get accurate information. That’s what this site is for.

I've just stopped using the word "gender." It's a linguistics term and there is no application to humans. There's always a more accurate word to use--hair, clothing, stereotypes, feelings, delusion, etc. That really clears up nearly 100% of the problem. Humans don't have a "gender identity" or "gender expression." Just say what you really mean.
As such, there's no such thing as "trans" or "transition" or "detransition." Since this is a linguistics battle, taking away the made-up terms solves nearly the whole problem.
