A transgender man, a two-spirit Native American, a nonbinary person, and an intersex individual walk into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, folx, this is ladies' night."

I keep waiting to see who sues a French teacher for teaching a transphobic language that genders *everything*, including verbs and adjectives! Italian & Spanish are the same, not sure about other languages. What if trans-cultists refuse to 'identify' a table as masculine or a chair as feminine?

Discutez l̶a̶ ̶m̶a̶ ̶u̶n̶e̶ question! :)

The attack has already begun in Spanish, c.f. Latinx, though I strongly suspect that this is almost entirely relegated to Spanish in the USA. Europeans don’t have time for such nonsense. For that matter, neither do most people in the Latino community in the US.

I recently read that only 3% of Latino Americans use latinx and that 50% don’t like it, the rest are neutral.

As someone who's been learning French on Duolingo for years, I can say I'd love for someone to de-genderize French. What's the point to genderfying objects? I Googled on it very quickly today and it seems rooted in Latin although they didn't genderize, it's just that the early Romance languages modified the languages themselves. Why? I dunno. I might write a Substack on it, if so I'll do more than ten seconds of research :)

English is the outlier among the world‘s languages. Many, many languages, *including* Latin by the way, are gendered, and that also includes Old English. English only lost genders relatively recently as a result of the clashes between Old/Middle English, Norse and French. One theory of gendered language is that most languages start with multiple such categories, as is the case with Mandarin today, but that with time most categories are lost until you are left with only two, such as masculine and feminine in the Romance languages, or three, such as masculine, feminine and neuter in German. It’s a big topic and you would indeed have to do a lot of reading.

It gets back to a point that gender is only a linguistic term. A table has no sex, no innate sense of self. In French, a man's cock - "la bite" is feminine (pronounced like the English "beet". An arch can be masculine or feminine "regarde l'arche, elle est jolie; regarde l'arc, il est joli" - both are “look at the arch, it is pretty”. It’s just rules. And if you break the rules the French regard you as an idiot.

Nah, we just laugh at you :) Last night in the car ride home from church the fam and I were talking about the funny ways my Mom messed up French sometimes and said something unintentionally dirty. Then we recounted stories of our French aunt with the forever-thick accent screwing up in English and saying stuff unintentionally dirty. She never lived down the infamous 'willow pussies' incident ;)

Well, Im sure there’s a xtube channel for willow pussies covered by a “Man Snow” - depends on which way the cock weather points I suppose. It’s something they cover in cuir studies.

German too, as well as Slavic languages (Russian, Czech, etc). Some of these have 3 genders (masculine, feminine, neuter). (And linguistics may be the only area left where the term “gender” is well defined.)

If I can get behind ONE aspect of the 'misgendering' hysterics, it'll be for de-genderizing languages. I like nice, non-binary English :)

My chair was lost and sad and couldn't find her true purpose in life. There were just not enough butts in the house to make her feel useful. So I transitioned her to a bed-side table. He is so happy now!

I follow some French accounts for language practice, and was amused to find they use the term genre et identitees. I much prefer genre to gender in English. Feels more true to how people understand it!

Kate, Alejandra, magnificent round-up, as always, sprinkled once again with trademark Parker wit, as in:

“Yes, that’s a religious belief now, people.”

“Of course, my real question is what happens when they all walk into a bar . . .”

And huge applause and sympathy for Alejandra Q, as the news out of England this week was indeed overwhelming!

It’s so interesting to me how much activists are fighting against acknowledging ROGD. Especially after listening to the podcast series “The Witch Trials of JK Rowling” where they interview a trans identified teen who admitted that he didn’t experience gender dysphoria until puberty and that his therapist told him it’s very common to not “know you are trans” until puberty. I have a feeling that many gender ideologues would have no problem validating that teens sudden feelings of gender dysphoria but would denounce the existence of ROGD in the same breath.

The idea that feelings of gender dysphoria could be caused by external influences and that dysphoria may then lead to transition directly contradicts the now common belief that trans is an innate state of being that is secondarily demonstrated by feelings of dysphoria, ie that people are "born this way" but may not recognize it until they start to feel uncomfortable with their bodies or their looks when they're adolescents and young adults. ROGD, detransition, and studies showing gender confusion as a developmental stage that most distressed children simply pass through all break the "born this way" model and cause cognitive dissonance for those who strongly believe in it.

There is no such thing as "gender dysphoria." None of this is real.

Saint Mary's College, Indiana issue offers a text book case of how gender ideology policies are implemented and countered. The College board said they implemented the policy to be "inclusive". They reversed their decision due to community backlash. For years NPR radio has been airing special "information" segments with all kinds of gender biz propaganda. This propaganda is designed to snow plow for gender ideology in the same way as Ian Holm's character "Ash" enabled the monster in the 1979 movie "Alien". Blogs like this help raise awareness to counter harmful misinformation pushed by the left. Thanks left, but no thanks. Left, your're killing us. i can say that because im a lefty. or was.

When I think of Brianna Ghey, i think of Brian Ghey. How he was before transition. How he was a normal socially awkward boy who became depressed.

How his mother was tricked into the belief that transition would help her depressed son. And how the kids who killed him, like Brian, received severely anti-social ques from the Internet with no adult vetting of harmful and dangerous internet materials. One of the killers had a mental disability. The other obsessed with serial killers.

Google search only has one recent search result with "brian ghey" in quotes. its from 4chan.

For the record I am blaming Brian Gheys mother for his death. Although its been proven his death wasnt due to "transphobia", why did the killers target him?

Gender ideology lures believers into false hypothetical beliefs that dont work in the real world. i know being a parent is tough. and its difficult for parents to always know what to do. but parents have a responsibility to check issues that affect their kids. wear two watches for situations when one watch isnt working.

Ghey would have been vulnerable with or without transition: their other targets were all simply socially awkward. It's very unfair to lay blame on the victim's mother for the bizarre motivations of two adolescents bent on murder.

transition is ment to address various maladies, formally, and style/social issues informally. the cost is the opportunity cost of not addressing these issues in effective/evidenced based ways. i wonder how Brian would have progressed if not duped into the false promise of transition? would his parents have spent time and money providing other oppurtinities? yes they would have. instead they put their hopes in a stylized placebo whose promise never arrived. youre correct in one sense. trans or no, he would have been a target. and this isnt really related to his female identification. but its easy to imagine that without transition Brian would have been a different guy and not as vulranable in many ways. more generally, we know transition prevents kids with psych issues from getting better. we know without gender meds most change their minds and ID as their birth gender with puberty. they stop going to the dr. when ppl stop going to the dr that means theyre healed. transition prevents this. Brian was also prevented from this opportunity. Still more to learn about this case.

You note that the mother was tricked into supporting her son‘s transition and then blame her for his death? After my son expressed his desire to transition, I tried to become informed. But everything I came across was unquestioningly supportive of transition. It took years to find alternative viewpoints. I’ll bet this mother tried to do the right thing and was met with overwhelming encouragement for her son’s transition. Please don’t blame her. She is, no doubt, suffering enough.

I know its harsh to blame parents. especially near Christmas when many parents miss their kids most of all. I understand getting complete info on this issue has been difficult, especially in the past. today, there is much more information available.
