It's frustrating that no one would publish this. It's going to take many more articles like this to convince some people that this is not a simple left-vs-right issue.

A couple of sentences could be rewritten for clarity:

"Studies show that for most people who suffered from childhood-onset gender dysphoria found it resolved by the end of puberty." Either "for" or "found" should be deleted.

"More Americans support allowing health insurance companies to decline to cover these medical interventions than to cover them." This might be clearer: "More Americans oppose than support requiring health insurance companies to cover these medical interventions."

If we keep saying it someday they will listen. Thank you for all you do!

Yes, we have to keep speaking out in whatever ways we can, whether large or small. It all has to add up to make a very big noise, at some point. Thank you for YOUR voice, in that regard.

It is incredibly frustrating that no media outlet would publish this.

Censorship continues the harms.

Not one person in my friend group is aware of the diverse group of people speaking out against the many harms of gender ideology. They hear it from me--with a raised eyebrow.

It's not in their feed, their bubble.

I have exactly the same experience. It is beyond frustrating—and meanwhile so much harm continues to be done.

Of course you are 100% correct. I think it's a bit too simplistic to simply ask: how do we help with "gender dysphoria?" Gender dysphoria is a loaded term and pre-supposes that it's a condition in and of itself rather than a symptom of some other condition(s). Further, gender dysphoria doesn't account for all young people who get caught up in the idea of social and medical transition.

Thus, I would ask:. How do we protect or help: gender diverse children (ie. masculine girls and feminine boys); children and teens who are unhappy with their sex or their sex specific body parts for a variety of reasons; and any other confused young people who believe they will benefit from being perceived as and looking like the opposite sex, including those who are socially awkward, autistic, traumatized, anxious or suffer numerous other psychological conditions that make them feel ill at ease in their bodies and/or in their social lives as "girls" or "boys?"

And I would go a bit further in stating that it is highly unlikely that telling children they are "really" the opposite sex, and that they will be happy only if others refer to and treat them as the opposite sex and if they medically alter their bodies to appear the opposite sex, and then medically altering their bodies in ways that make them less healthy is at all helpful to any of these young people.

I have to agree. The singular name, "gender dysphoria", gives the impression that gender-focused distress is always a real thing in itself, rather than, often, distress whose focus could easily have been different in a different cultural milieu.

This is all spot on. What about Pamela Paul? Could she get this to the NYT? Also, a friend that was at that rally in DC got a close up view of the ACLU crew and a table set up with gals injecting T. Real impressive...https://www.facebook.com/share/v/15bmx4E5uw/

Question? What group could put a stop to this gender scandal and what group could have the most impact? Is it the LGB? Is it the comedians? Will it be the grownups that finally get the guts to unplug kids from iphones and social media influence? Will it be the Christians and Jews uniting and making Western Civilization important again? Will it take an Islamist terror attack and a draft? Will the elites and movie stars turn on one another, or will it come from within the Democrat party itself? Maybe massive financial loss in education institutions will create an about face...I think its going to be the disenfranchised young men that are coming of age that just missed the mandatory middle school "Gender Sex Ed" curriculum and are saying, hell no! Maybe 2025 will be the year of the DUDE. Transgenderism has become an industry and it just needs to become exposed for what it is...uncool. Just like the new administration wants to end pharmaceutical ads on TV and radio, we need to stop marketing transgenderism to kids.

Thank you for all you do, Lisa. I can feel the gears grinding as, with your help, this gender machine tries to turn around. I think the statement that, “puberty is the best cure for gender dysphoria” needs to be widely circulated. If nothing else, it may encourage people to think about the issue.

Thank you for all you do from this lesbian. I was gender non-conforming in childhood.

Thank you, Lisa, for your wise leadership on this issue. I am in full agreement that gender transition care should be denied to children and adolescents less than 18 years of age but very few commentators or pundits are addressing the large group of individuals who are 18 to 25 years of age. We now consider this period of young adulthood to be a period when many youth have a delayed maturation, which is likely to be even more so in those with autism which may represent up to 33% of those individuals declaring themselves to be trans. Can we just allow such people to be sucked into a carefully designed system of indoctrination and reinforcement to undergo the same medical and surgical treatments that most of us consider so cruel and criminal in younger people. How can we ever find and put into place health care systems with objective psychologists and endocrinologists who will be fair in the care they offer? I would love to hear the opinion of others.
