It was appalling that Senator McBride spoke on behalf of women's rights. That being said it does not surprise me that HRC chose McBride. Unfortunately the Democratic party including HRC continues to double down on this issue insisting this is all about equality when it's really just about the culture war. HRC proved that by "capitulating" 24 hours later on X.

It speaks to how fully captured the Democratic Party is by the trans movement. These issues are prioritized, even if it means others have to take a back seat or the party loses elections by refusing to moderate.

Good piece, Kara! It reflects my disgust and disappointment at Hilary's devolution into unexplained cliched slogans and betrayal. All, here is how to send Kara's essay to Hilary Clinton:

Hilary Rodham Clinton, Post Office Box 5256, New York, NY, 10185.

The Democratic Party has degenerated into a bizarre suicide cult. I've always been far to the traditional "working class based left" of the Democratic Party. I haven't voted for a presidential candidate from either party for 35 years because neither party represents my interests around war and peace and economics. However, I used to vote for Democratic Party candidates in local elections as I considered them on the local level to be the "lesser of two evils." I never thought I'd see the day when I'd have to say that I now consider the Republican Party to be the "lesser of two evils" in local elections - but that day is here - with the Democratic Party's self-immolation in deference to the barking-madness of gender-ideology. Wow, I did not see that coming. Thank you Kara for standing up not only for women and girls, but for "all children" endangered by this irrational unscientific ideological madness.

Thank you for your tireless work, Kara!

Also good to know about Chelsea & Hillary--a family friend went down the trans route several years ago. My understanding is that the friend was a teen girl.

Knowing someone "who is trans" results in a double-double down.

Yes, boo, hiss, to HRC and other public figures who platform the pretenders and cheaters because of politics. it's so maddening that so many Democrats are supportive of this. It makes me think about all my other positions on issues. Am I seeing the real picture or does it just make me feel virtuous.

Great letter by Kara from the first word to the last. Of the many excellent points Kara makes, she notes: “Clinton’s capitulation on ‘gender’ probably eased her relationship with her adult daughter, and with other Democratic elites, but at what cost?”

There are many, many Democratic electeds and candidates who have similarly slid down the cognitive dissonance pyramid like this. They are, as a result, unfit to lead.

For an explanation of the cognitive dissonance pyramid, here's a link to Carol Tavris explaining this concept starting at about 25:10: https://youtu.be/nn0LPhDHfv0?si=QbSRu3tn1qs10s07&t=1510
