This book will be helpful, I predict, to the detransitioners initiating malpractice lawsuits. I've always thought that we trans widows are silenced and defamed so viciously exactly because we've had just enough direct contact with the mental health practitioners and their sketchy methods that they know we've got the dirt on them. I'm relieved to know so many sources are now coming forward.

Maybe your book and your story will get some more attention now, too!

Thanks, it is still available very inexpensively in eBook form and the soft cover is worth it for the 50 nature photos. In the Curated Woods, True Tales from a Grass Widow (iuniverse, 2022) Amazon, (kindle, etc) and B and Noble have not banned it yet! Reviews at goodreads are always appreciated. womenarehuman.com has excerpts and a review in their books/media section. It's not just the gaslighting and sad stories from the past, but also my healing through work in nature. Thanks Lisa, from Ute

I am a cheapskate, so I always check with the public library systems that I use to see if there's an ebook or audiobook I can borrow. To my surprise, two of them have copies of the ebook, with multiple holds already. If I don't get it before May, I may break down and buy it.

So happy to hear that. And it would be great if folks requested it at libraries and local bookshops!

I used to be one. What with Drag Queen Story hour, etc., I'm glad I don't work in a public library today.

It's available on Audible. That's how I'm listening.

Is Barnes narrating? I think that's technically Amazon, too. How can we allow indie bookstores to sell audio books and e-books? I'd love to see someone work on that...

Ooh, now I wanna listen, too. But I'm just about done with reading it in actual physical book form.

Hannah Barnes said on the "Blocked and Reported " podcast recently that there is currently no North American publisher. Any independent bookshop would have to import it from the UK.

One Q: I am not a Zoomer (I managed to go through the whole pandemic only doing one memorial service😎). Will it be possible to get a post-zoom video to view?

This is so exciting. I hope I can be there. I'm about 1/3rd of the way through the book now. Listening on Audible. It's a truly shocking read and only a matter of time before a similar book comes out about US gender clinics.

If you don't have a local bookstore and the library is out, Blackwell's has it. They were recently sold to a large British chain.

I'm a public librarian and I ordered the ebook for my library network's collection. Use your library's ebook lending platform (probably OverDrive/Libby) to tag the book so you're notified when it's purchased (these tags add up and can influence purchasing decisions) and recommend they purchase it. There are still some librarians out there who believe in hearing from all sides on all issues!

Related to this, here’s a terrific article in the London Times quoting JK Rowling on the subject of transitioning children: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/helping-children-change-gender-is-a-medical-scandal-says-rowling-f52x702kv
